Berne Union 2025 Yearbook: Designing clarity in a complex global landscape

Interactive digital report

I was commissioned to design the Berne Union 2025 Yearbook, a flagship digital publication exploring how export credit and investment insurance providers are navigating an increasingly complex global environment.

The brief centred on simplification—streamlining the overall design while retaining strong navigation and improving the reader experience. Working closely with stakeholders, I developed a clean, structured layout system that supports long-form, data-rich content without overwhelming the reader. Clear hierarchy, consistent typography and intuitive signposting were key to making the document easy to navigate as a digital-only PDF.

To bring the content to life, I introduced a cohesive suite of visual elements, including infographics, data visualisation and carefully curated imagery. These enhancements help break down complex themes—such as geopolitical shifts, energy transition and digitalisation—into engaging, digestible sections.

The result is a polished, accessible publication that balances editorial depth with visual clarity. By aligning design with content strategy, the Yearbook not only communicates insight effectively but also reinforces Berne Union’s position as a leading voice in the global export credit and investment insurance sector.
